Filed Under (The truth) by Keith on 10-04-2011
It was easy when I first started because I felt I had so much to say, and thanks to Zoe of “My Boyfriend is a Twat” (now now longer with us; in a blogging sense I hasten to add!) who gave my blog a BIG mention at the start. The result was that I had an instant circle of readers. Thanks Zoe. The truth of the matter is I have so much to say, not in the trivial manner of some of my later posts, but in a more aggressive and political way now. These last few years watching this country go rapidly downhill is distressing me and making me very angry with the politicians and other people who are supposed to be running this country. They are running it alright; into the ground! I think that if I turn this into a political blog I will lose a lot of my cyber-friends, and I don’t want that. In all honesty I dont think I can continue the way I have done and watch out “lords and masters”, who we elected as our “representatives” to speak for us in Parliament, now telling us what we can and can’t do whilst lining their pockets with our money and living the high life! See what I mean? I was on the point of a rant just then, but I managed to check myself just in time. I dont think I will just stop blogging, but I feel that I should take a break for a while and review the situation. One answer I suppose is to start another blog under a different name where I can really have a go at the bas. . . er, blighters who cause so much grief to the elderly, the sick, the unemployed and the homeless while giving shitloads of our money to other countries. So for the time being it’s ‘au revoir’ from me and the little fellow in the picture, who will no doubt pop up in another blog soon I hope. As Arnie used to say, “I’ll be back”. Now I’m off to the ‘Earl Shilton Home for the Bewildered’ for a spot of R & R.

Come back soon! And do let me know if you start a new blog or I’ll never find you! xo

I understand your dilemma. I mostly avoid political blogs and think it is a shame when a lighthearted blog changes and becomes full of anger and worse!

Can you mix it up? Humour…which will keep people reading. And rant now and then when you get their attention? Humour works really well in rants too. Problem is Keith…can blogging make changes? Unless there’s a huuuuge following who will rally for the changes a blogger wants. What other positive way can a citizen use to get the progressive changes s/he wants?

I’d say write about what is on your mind and in your heart. Your reading audience may shift, some leave, some others arrive, but isn’t the point of a blog to write, to put it out there in the great electronic universe, to make your voice heard in this forum? And if what’s on your mind is the current thuggery in high office, then say so. You may find many of us in sympathy with your thoughts.

JohnG: If you are glad I’ve quit, why did you bother to read the blog in the first place? (answer on the back of a cheque please) Toffeeapple: Thanks, I’ll think about it. Teresa: Really? I thought my blog was getting a tad tired. I know JohnG wont miss me! Betsy: I shall still be around reading the blogs on my sidebar, except for JohnG’s blog of course! Pat: Under successive governments the plight of people like me gets worse every year. This is what makes me mad and I can’t do anything about it except voice my anger. I have noticed that there has been a sharp rise in political blogs just lately, and they are not in favour of the present govts attitude to the native population. Guyana gyal: Probably blogging will make a change eventually when the state realises that the natives are getting restless! Rhubarb: I need to put into words what I am thinking, but not on this blog. A blogger (Broadsword) had a political blog and was constantly attacking the government, but he put his location in the profile, silly man. He got word that the police were about to arrest him so he fled to America and asked for political asylum and he was granted it. After the authorities here and there discussed the matter he was extradited back here for trial. Stu: I will, when I’ve had a Blogoliday. Helen: I’ll let you know. JohnG: Go away! (in Anglo-Saxon)

Hope I’m not too late to add my twopennorth but I think it would be a great shame if you closed the blog. However, if you feel the need for a break and time to think then why not just have a rest for a while.

Sandy: Something could be done about it if the people of this country wake up, but the British people have become “sheeple”. They just take it all when the Govt tell them what they can and can’t do. They believe everything they’re told, and what is fed to them on the TV, radio and in the papers. So long as they can draw their benefit money, have their iPods, mobile phones, beer money etc., they are happy just to let politicians ruin their country. I’m English, but I hate the English, especially the younger generation who seem to have been born with no ‘backbone’. I know the French have more about them, and when things are not to their liking, they let their Govt know in no uncertain terms! |
