Update: (Sunday, 18 July 2010) I have blotted out all the references to the Council concerned (bless ‘em!) because I received a communication that they found the pis. . .er, spoof of their original advert deeply offensive and very kindly asked me to remove it, . . . or else! I couldn’t do that because it would have meant the post and all the interesting comments would have disappeared too, so I have blanked out all references to the Council concerned (bless their little cotton socks!) who seem to be lacking somewhat in the good old ‘British Sense of Humour’.

Just lovely, so enjoyable to read. Very nicely done, Keith and assistants (Keith and Keith?). (Re: the PC stupidity in the park – why did the council idiots put the park bench there in the first place, and why don’t they just turn it around to face the other way? Yes, you are “telling it like it is,” unfortunately. Yesterday was wasted in a 3-hours-long meeting the sole purpose of which was to come to a single decision. The Manager in charge couldn’t bring himself to show the proper leadership (perhaps he didn’t understand the issue and the short timeline?) and tabled it for further consideration. Bah, humbug! Only two more years until I can take my pension and walk away.

Here are a few facts, which might help you decide if you've had the unfortunate experience of meeting me in real life or not ... I am 75 going on 30, divorced and available. I enjoy French cooking, drinking lots of wine, (French of course!) and holidaying in France (on a pittance, I might add!). I also have a passion for amateur radio and electronics. I design and make stained glass windows now purely as a hobby (It used to be my trade until I retired). My other interests are archery and French boule; playing Petanque with friends and a nice bottle of vin rouge on the side.
