No “Sepia Saturday” again! Two reasons for this, I seem to have mislaid the folder with all my old pictures in it since the last post, not to worry though, I scanned them all a while back and put them onto a disk. I lent the disk to my sister last Christmas because she wanted to make a copy, but I haven’t had it back yet. Oh hum!

The other reason is that it’s “That time of the year” again when I am very busy with the garden. Everything needed a severe looking after during the recent dry spell. Not my garden, mine has reverted back to the jungle, but my sisters and her partners. They have gone to their little house near Nice for two months to open up and re-decorate their dump of a little french cottage.

This coupled with my household chores here doesn’t leave me much time to play around with the computer.

What I really need is a domestic goddess to live with me, then she can do the little jobs like cooking, cleaning, washing, decorating, ironing etc., while I get on with the important tasks like computing, watching videos, going out with the lads and generally socialising. Is there a nice young lady out there in Bloggyland who fancys the job? Free board and lodging? No?

The last woman who lived with me was unbelievably lazy. Most mornings I had to shout several times for her to come upstairs to wash and dress me! Tut!

I could send you cuttings from the lonely hearts coloumn of our local rag but I suppose you’d rather have someone from further south complete with cosy cottage in a pleasant sunny village.

Sandy~ I once answered an ad in the lonely hearts column of our local rag. The photo showed a fine looking lady of 65, so I answered and arranged to meet in a local cafe. When I saw her it was obvious that the photo had been taken 20 years previous! Never again!

I’m still trying to convince my girlfriend that playing computer games is important work… I’m not sure but I think she is slowly coming around to my way of thinking.

I agree with Stu, playing computer games is very important work, it helps you to procrastinate instead of

Thought you’d gotten rid of me, eh? Well, it ain’t gonna be that easy, Buster. I found ya.

I am trying very hard to rejoin the human race once again. My blogpage is withering away and if I don’t get my butt in gear soon it will probably just waft off into eternal cyberspace. Never to be seen again.

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi. I stumbled into a VOD (video on demand)–another way AT&T found to pad their “home entertainment” bill for nitwits like me–anyway, it’s a movie starring “Tony Blair” and “Bill Clinton”. I’ve already forgotten the name of it. Just wondered if you had seen it. Timeline, 1996.

Oh my, it’s 7:15? No wonder I’m so hungry! OK then, see ya later, got to forage for something edible now. Very nice talking to you again!

Ah now, that’s the beauty of my now living in a flat – all the gardening work in our little garden (with small trees, bushes, flower bed, two small lawns, and Ivy trailing up the perimeter wall) is all done for me by the maintenance guys, and even though I’m paying a small contribution towards the upkeep it’s certainly a lot nicer than I could ever make it.

All I have to bother with these days are three window boxes attached to the outside of my balcony rails. (Heaven!)

If I owned a garden like that pictured I would be very tempted to cover most of it with decorative paving and gravel, with perhaps a small Lilac tree overhanging the potting shed, and just leave smaller manageable bordered areas for fruit and veg. In fact that’s what I did at my old house in Bedworth. Unfortunately I had to move up here to Salford just as it was maturing. Oh well!
