Cick on the picture to enlarge. This property may need a little TLC, and a lick of paint here and there in order to preserve it’s sheer beauty. It’s full of character and history. Built in 1995 to the classic “Early Slum style” it will give years of pleasure and worry to it’s new owners. It is also haunted by a friendly ghost called “Axeman Jacques” who lived there for a few weeks before he was caught by the Fuzz (Gendarmes) for axing to death several villagers. As he lay on the Guillotine he said “I’ll be back!” just before his head was surgically removed. Don’t worry though he is a friendly chap and definitely an asset to the house. I thought I would give first refusal to all my friends who read this blog, both of you. If you are interested RSVP ASAP because I need the money to pay my fines and the bailiffs.

What a hoot! Goodness me, you are a hard man to find. I know you were doing the stained glass and probably wouldn't post much, but your blog just disappears from time to time.

Hi Toffeeapple – I had a spot of bother with Blogger, they are not supporting any FTP blogs any more, so the blog on my own domain is now redundant. I've had to move to Blogspot and I'm not a happy bunny at the moment. Are you familiar with "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child? (My cooking bible!) John G – Blast. You've seen through my April Fools joke! Go away, I'll see you on Sunday; the beers are on you! Anji – Do you know something I don't?

Helen – Done! And you would be the loser, because I don't even own the property. It's derelict and has been for decades. Monsieur le Maire told me that he thinks the owner lives in Paris, but they don't know who or where, and under French law it cant be demolished or touched until the owner is traced. Not like here, you could go to work one day and return at night to find your house has been compulsorily purchased by the Council and demolished to make way for a new car-park! Believe me, it has happened in the town. True! (but that's another story)
